KING’S MARKET BURNABY

CHINESE TAKE-OUT

3 ITEM RICE (or 2 DISH AND RICE) Chinese food is affordable take-out meals popular in Hong Kong. In the Vancouver area there are plenty of take-out Chinese places inside Asian grocery stores like T&T most notably.

King’s Market in Burnaby is a small Asian grocery with a ‘hidden’ Chinese take-out counter.

Address: 6218 Kingsway, Burnaby, BC V5J 1H6

King’s Market is a bit of a strange with maze-like grocery store. The food counter is slightly hidden down a long hall, and behind shelves. This place is not as popular at T&T.

It looks rundown but there are affordable meals to be had.

The Chinese take-out is $12.99 combo and there are a variety of options to choose. There is fried chicken, fish on the menu.

Freshness is a bit questionable, and this place is not busy like T&T you have to wonder how long it’s been on the counter.

The best time to go would be in the morning when it’s freshest before lunch is when they put out the food.

Verdict
