NOODLE SOUP

LIKED: Good price, good portion size. Served hot and fresh.

Korea Town Center in Burnaby at the Coquitlam border is a unique destination. There are many restaurants, shops, and a Hannam Supermarket. The Two-level plaza has a odd building design.

Myoung Dong Kahl Gook Soo is a small shop inside the Korea Town Center. This little shop offers a small menu with a special soup you don’t see often at Korean restaurants.

Kahl Gook Soo (kal guk soo or kalguksu) $12
A soup made with knife-cut wheat flour noodles with ground beef.
Variations of this dish may have chicken, zucchini, and sometimes potato.

PRICE:
$$ AFFORDABLE! FAIR PRICE. Similar price to bowl of Pho.

QUALITY:
GOOD! Good portion size. Lots of noodles. Served fresh and hot.

SERVICE:
GOOD! Straightforward. Nice addition of chili and kimchi sidedish. There is also a hot water dispenser for tea.

VERDICT:
Overall, SATISFIED. This little noodle shop is definitely worth visiting if you want to try something other than Korean BBQ, or Korean Tofu Soup, Kulgaksu is delicious!
