SUSHI GARDEN BURNABY METROTOWN – VANCOUVER FOOD REVIEWS – GUTOM.CA

No All You Can Eat Sushi Here.

Sushi Garden is a la carte sushi restaurant across from Metrotown Mall.
It has been in Burnaby for many years known for large Sashimi pieces.

What we ordered:

Spicy Tuna Cone 1 Piece $4.25
Wasabi and Ginger included with order.

Spicy Tuna Cone had two pieces of tuna, and some hot sauce on top.
The seaweed was rubbery and not crispy.

Assorted Sushi Combo $15.25
Tuna, Salmon, Ebi, Ika, Amaebi, Tako, Tobiko
Tuna & Salmon Roll (3 piece each).

Tuna & Salmon Sashimi 9 Pieces $12.95

Sashimi pieces were large and some were mushy.
The freshness is questionable.

PRICE:
$$ Affordable but expensive for the amount of food.

QUALITY:
Ok. Big Sashimi pieces however the tuna sashimi was mushy! Tuna cone was expensive. Other sushi rolls are standard. Questionable temperature and fish freshness.

SERVICE:
Bad. Fast to sit, rushed to order. They didn’t come back with tea until we got up to leave. eenagers are hired to make the sushi.

VERDICT:
Similar to what you’d find at All You Can Eat Sushi but you pay more here for less. In fact, Kingsway Sushi has better quality than Sushi Garden. Bigger sashimi pieces doesn’t mean better! Food temperature and freshness are questionable. You will leave hungry.
CASH, CARD.
