Canada Day Steveston Salmon Festival July 1, 2018.

Steveston Village is a small town in Richmond, BC with lots of history. It is also used as a backdrop for many film shoots for TV shows and movies.

The star of the event is obviously the salmon but there are also many food vendors to choose from like Japanese Squid.

The salmon is BBQ’d on large wood fire grills.

Preparing the salmon takes many volunteers.

That’s a lot of fish!

$16 salmon plate.
Comes with salad, butter, and bun.

The bread bun or roll, is supposed to be used for the salmon, like a salmon sandwich.

The salmon is very good! Though, I wish the piece was bigger!

The Steveston Salmon Festival is a great way to spend Canada Day!

There are signs that say CASH ONLY, however if you are purchasing a ticket for Salmon plate they should be able to take credit card as well.

There is conflicting information from volunteers working the event. Some say there is Cash Only and will tell you to go to the ATM at a near by bank.

Beware the service fee at the ATM like at Coast Capital Savings. It is $3.
