Gutom Staff The Italian Pesto Chicken Sandwich is part of the McDonald’s Canada “World Taste Tour” going on from June 18 to July 29.
The special menu features World-themed flavors from China, Mexico, France, Australia, and Italy.
Italian Pesto Chicken Sandwich
Pesto aioli sauce, parmesan, arugula, tomato.
The idea may sound good on paper, unfortunately, all the ingredients don’t add up to anything good.
The smell of the cheese is too strong. The bread is too large, and the patty too small. The sandwich is a mess!
The bread was tough, the chicken patty was cold, dry, and doesn’t resemble actual chicken. The greens were dry and cheese shavings were like plastic.
This could be an issue with the location McDonald’s at International Village Tinseltown in Vancouver’s Chinatown. The quality is very poor.
At $6 Canadian, the Italian Pesto Chicken is a definite miss. The Szechuan burger was more palatable.
Verdict: AVOID THIS AT ALL COSTS! YOU MAY GET SICK!
