Love to see new restaurants opening. This longtime Chinatown favorite has opened a second location in the Grandview-Woodlands area of East Vancouver! Located between Victoria and Nanaimo Street on East Hastings.
This is very exciting news for fans of take-out and take-home Dim Sum. Kam Wai has been in business for a long time and make some very good dumplings. They even do limited time special menu items like a collaboration during a Chinatown event.

Kam Wai Legacy has all the favorites from the downtown location. Dim Sum dumplings Siu Mai, Har Gow, Steamed Bao, Wonton Soup and more.
On their drinks menu they have HK Style Milk Tea.
Prices are affordable overall.
They even have a Frozen section for take-home dumplings.

VERDICT
PRICE – $ Very Affordable
Expect to pay around $10-$25 for a few dishes, drink, tax, tip.
QUALITY – GOOD! Made fresh in-house. Good portion size.
Simple Siu Mai, and Har Gow, Jumbo Bao is very filling. Wonton Soup is big with lots of noodles.
SERVICE – GOOD! Service was friendly.
At opening not all items were ready (soft opening).
Pay at the counter. Return your own tray. No water dispenser.
MENU – GOOD! So many choices cooked and frozen. Though the dumplings aren’t super fancy they are good and simple. Keep a look out for their limited time collaborations.
OVERALL – SATISFIED
Kam Wai Legacy offers simple delicious dumplings that’s
easy on the wallet, served fast and no need for reservations!
Wonton Soup, Milk tea, Jumbo Bao are highlights.
