Do you like free things?
The Real Canadian Superstore owned by Loblaws has a Deal of the Week at the checkout line. Most of the time the cashier will ask if you want the Deal of the Week. If the cashier doesn’t ask, the customer can get the item for FREE.
From my experience, they (the cashiers) are pretty consistent in asking the customer. However, from time to time the cashier will forget.
So when is the best time to get a free Deal of the Week?
Every cashier is different and there’s no way to actually measure the “best time” for Deal of the Week.
From our non-scientific research the answer is…
The morning!
In one instance the cashier forgot to ask, after all the grocery items were scanned. I was handed a stack of food containers when I pointed to the sign and said, “Can I have one?”
She was slightly annoyed that I pointed to the sign above the register.
It is possible to get a Free Deal of the Week item!
