Dave’s Hot Chicken comes to Vancouver’s Granville Street. The American franchise originally started in California has few locations in Toronto but this is the first-ever Dave’s in Vancouver. There’s no shortage of fried chicken in the city, but is Dave’s Hot Chicken any good? With a Popeyes Chicken right across the street and Jollibee a few doors down, the fried chicken battle is Vancouver getting crowded.

The Menu
Dave’s Hot Chicken serves Nashville-style chicken tenders with different levels of spiciness. Chicken tenders not leg and thigh pieces but they do have wings. Add this place to your list of HOT and Spicy fast food stops.
Chicken Tenders come in different Dave’s Combos, with or without the bun. There are also chicken bites, and wings. The choice of sides are fried, cheese fries, mac and cheese, Kale Slaw. There are also Mozz Sliders they’re version of cheese sticks.
The spiciness is a oil/rub applied to the crunchy chicken tender.

At Dave’s Hot Chicken the chicken sandwich is called a Slider. It’s essentially a chicken tender in a bun with pickles. Portion size is in between a traditional hamburger beef slider and a chicken sandwich.
First impression, the chicken is moist and has a nice texture and juiciness. The tender has crunch exterior and a spicy kick with HOT heat.

Oreo Top Loaded
The vanilla sweetness is pretty mild. A shake that you mix yourself… This was a bit disappointing. Like a watered down Oreo Blizzard.
Alternately they have a slushy machine.
