Aburi is a local Japanese food and grocery store that has a few locations around Vancouver.
Aburi is not your typical market. Known for fresh grab-and-go with a bit of convenience store and high-end imported products. The wow factor is their Premium offerings of gourmet meats, and fish. If you’re craving Wagyu, and Blue Fin, Aburi Market has it.
However, not all is luxury food. They also offer affordable items like Gyoza, Takoyaki, Rice Bowls, Noodle Bowls, Bento Boxes. Budget friendly meals alongside premium sashimi. The variety doesn’t stop there. They even have Tamago Egg Salad Sandwich. It seems the Egg Salad Sandwich is taking over!
At this location on Granville street, they have a soup and “fry menu” section. Cravings for Corquette, Takoyaki, and more.
They have desserts made in-house and feature some of Vancouver’s most famous Japanese artisans like Coconama, and WA Bagel. Matcha, mochi, pudding. The menu is extensive, you’ll want to come back again.
They have frozen section, and many imported Japanese drinks BOSS Coffee.
Think of Aburi a bit like Fujiya. On one hand Aburi can be intimidating with their array of premium offerings, but on the other Aburi has affordable Japanese comfort food. The downtown location has many office workers lining up ready for lunch meals.
The only thing missing is Oden and fresh produce!
