SAFEWAY MEAL CUT BACK
Times are tough for Canadians. The rising cost of food is real. Safeway has raised prices of their READY TO EAT meals, removes free drink from the combo meal.
Safeway’s food counter is a popular low cost option for take-home meals. Their fried chicken is an affordable favorite. This year it looks like they raised the price and removed the free drink.
The old price was $5.49. The 2 piece meal deal included a side and a pop drink.
The new price is $6.99, 2 piece with a side and no drink.
Drinks are now an extra charge. That’s very disappointing for people looking to save, students, seniors, everyday shoppers. This price works out to almost $10 for a 2 piece meal.
The roast chicken costs even more at Safeway than it does at Walmart and Superstore.
