GUTOM EATS! Tacofino Metrotown! Located at Station Square in Burnaby. Tacofino is a local favorite for ‘West-Coast’ style Mexican originally started as a food truck. Let’s check it out!
The Station Square development is finally filling up with businesses, with some of BC’s most popular local chains JJ Bean, Cactus Club, Earl’s, and now Tacofino.
The restaurant faces McKay Ave, across from Hilton Hotel and Crystal Mall. Bright space with plenty of seats for good times!
Tacofino has is different from make-your-own-burrito restaurants like Chipotle, Mucho Burrito. There’s no selection of ingredients that you stand around and choose.
One thing that makes Tacofino unique is the Breakfast. You can have a burrito with coffee and churros, tater tots and more! A fresh breakfast alternative compared to fast food chains. Chipotle opens at 1030am-11am

VERDICT
PRICE:
$$ Similar to other Burrito restaurants but with more offerings than Chipotle, Mucho Burrito, Chronic Tacos.
QUALITY:
GOOD! Burritos are loaded with fillings and sauces. Taco tortillas are nicely toasted. The hot sauce was mild. The churros were good and Dulce de leche dip tasty.
SERVICE:
GOOD! Counter service, pay first before sitting down. Friendly servers, fast clearing plates.
VERDICT:
SATISFIED! Tacofino is Mexican ‘West-Coast’ style menu with tacos, burritos, drinks, and dessert open early, and with Happy Hour Specials. A good spot at Station Square. The only place open at 8am with a Breakfast burrito and coffee that isn’t Mcdonalds or Tim Hortons. Would return for the Lunch, Daily Specials, and Happy Hour menu.
