What is mazesoba?! Mazesoba is mixed noodles. It is served without soup ‘dry noodle’ but has sauce, toppings, and seasoning. It’s also known as ‘Taiwan mazesoba’, Aburasoba, monjasoba, tenukisoba, abu ramen, shirunashi ramen. Kokoro is not the inventor of Mazesoba but it is one of the big chain restaurants.
Kokoro has a good menu with lots of choices. Even though it’s a mazesoba restaurant they also serve ramen, gyoza and karaage. They even have Cheese Cake, and Milk Tea!

VINEGAR?! The restaurant suggests vinegar for the mazesoba dish. Be careful you might overpour vinegar!

OK! Flavours are tasty. Texture is different. Portion size is medium. Not too small, not too much but you can always order more extra toppings and upgrade to a LARGE serving of mazesoba. Temperature is not so hot, mostly warm.
GOOD! A bit of a wait to get food. Friendly and attentive but very busy. Remember to ask for water refills.
Overall, SATISFIED. Mazesoba is definitely a different style of Japanese noodles with a unique flavour, texture. If you don’t like mazesoba there’s ramen, karaage, and other choices on the menu. Nice addition to Station Square/Metrotown.
