PERFECT STAYCATION SUMMER 2021

DAY TRIP HARRISON LAKE

Gutom Travels to Harrison Hot Springs! Harrison Hot Springs in the Fraser Valley is a popular getaway destination about 2 hours from Vancouver. The lake is cold but there are natural hot springs discovered by the First Nations of the area.

Harrison Hot Springs is a nice small community with restaurants, hotels and activities on the water. The hot springs are accessible via a short trail next to the lake or at the hotel resort spa, and public pool (the public pool is closed at the time of this video).

What to do

Lagoon Loop
Nice walk around the lagoon with lake and mountain views! The Lagoon has sand, and volleyball nets. The Lake has rocks and is much more rough because of the natural landscape.

Lake activities

Watersports, rentals, and tours on the lake!

Walk to THE SOURCE of the Hot Springs!
A short trail along the west side of the lake. Nice scenery, and very interesting Sasquatch/ Hot Springs history.

FOOD

It’s nice that there are some veggies included with the Fish and Chips meal! The salad is very nice too with strawberry slices and tomato. The salad dressing is a tasty vinaigrette.

Walk on Esplanade Ave. Restaurants and hotels right across from the water! Limited pay parking on this street but there are FREE parking lots a few blocks away. Lots of food to choose!

Harrison Hot Springs Resort and Spa.
This is the main hotel that gets the hot springs water piped into the pool/spa. The parking here is hotel parking, and grass/beach in front of the hotel is private property for hotel guests.

Harrison Hot Springs does get very WINDY in the day. So hanging out by the sand will get dusty with the wind.

Parking at the FREE OVERFLOW PARKING LOT early in the morning will guarantee you have a spot for the whole day.
