Gutom travels to Abbotsford in the Fraser Valley to try all the delicious foods. The Fraser Valley is known for farming, but Abbotsford has a diverse mix of restaurants Indian cuisine, Chinese cuisine, Japanese cuisine and more!
Downtown Abbotsford is a gentrified part of town with hip businesses. If you thought Abbotsford was all farms and berries, you can now get AVACADO TOAST, and GLUTEN FREE. If you’re passing through, it’s a interesting part of town. There also quite a few Asian restaurants.
The Polly Fox is a popular Cafe and Bakery. A lot of their products are baked in the store. Their menu has some Vegan and Gluten Free items but also MEAT: Chicken, and EGG sandwiches, Frittata and more. Guess there aren’t enough Vegans in Abby to go 100% Vegan!
Ice Cream Sandwich $6
Tasty sandwich dough and ice cream. It’s not often you see a ice cream sandwich at a bakery.

Coffee with grass-fed butter.
Butter Coffee or Bulletproof Coffee is popular for Keto.
Putting fat in your coffee is supposed to have benefits!
Butter Tea is popular in Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan, and India.

$-$$ FAIR PRICE. Typical pricing for this style of cafe bakery.
QUALITY:
OK! TASTY Ice Cream Sandwich! Soft, chewy, not sweet. However, the cashier said the ice cream is from a place in Vancouver, instead of a local Abbotsford ice cream vendor.
SERVICE:
MIXED! Friendly cashier, poor barista. Slow service, long line. Made the drink then mistakenly gave it to the wrong customer while chatting with the customer then questioned if GUTOM got the drink, and wasn’t sure if he should make another one!
VERDICT:
Overall, SLIGHTLY SATISFIED. The Polly Fox is a nice looking cafe with goods baked in house. Careful what you order it might not be pure Vegan. The Ice Cream Sandwich is good. Be prepared for a wait to get your drinks. Would return to this business for the Ice Cream Sandwich.
