FRIED CHICKEN!
Hi Five is a local fried chicken shop known for being open 24 hours, with a few locations around the Lower Mainland. They just opened a location on Kingsway in Burnaby not far from Metrotown. Fried chicken any time? Yes! But is it good?
Hi Five Chicken serves ROAST and FRIED chicken. They have regular and spicy chicken, sandwiches, wraps, a variety of dipping sauces, and sides like fried peppers. There’s even desserts. SO MUCH!

Legs and thighs. The fried chicken at Hi Five looks a bit like Church’s Chicken! Not as crunchy looking as the promotional photos on the Hi Five menu but the portion size seems like Church’s.
The fries at Hi Five are thin cut with potato skin on.

QUALITY:
NOT GOOD! NO FLAVOUR! Not sure what kind of style fried chicken Hi Five wants to be. Fried Chicken similar looking to Church’s Chicken but tasteless, dry. Was served cold and warm pieces mixed together.
BAD: Fries were cold, dry, disgusting! How long were those fries sitting there, 24 HOURS?! AVOID!
SERVICE:
OK! Pretty fast because the food was just sitting on the warmer.
VERDICT:
Overall, NOT SATISFIED. Disliked and disappointed. Hi Five has potential but the Quality is not good. With many other choices for fried chicken, Hi Five is nowhere near the competition. Open for 24 hours, but no good if the food is not good. Go to KFC, Church’s Chicken, or even Uncle Willy’s for better fast food fried chicken. Maybe other locations are better? Maybe Roast is better than Fried? Can’t recommend this fried chicken.
