RICHMOND NINKAZU JAPANESE RESTAURANT
AYCE ALL YOU CAN EAT SUSHI
LIKED: Sashimi! Nice variety.
DISLIKED: Some cooked items were not hot, or were dry.
HAPPY THAT RICHMOND SUSHI HAS REOPENED!
Richmond Ninkazu aka Richmond Sushi aka Ninkazu Japanese Restaurant is one of the oldest AYCE sushi restaurants in the Lower Mainland. This restaurant is similar to Tomokazu and Kingsway Sushi. They reopened for Dine-In in June, and are only open for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. No weekday hours!
This restaurant used to have Japanese style seating. Richmond Sushi did a big renovation and now has a standard table layout perfect for Physical Distancing.
Richmond Sushi has 3 menus, and lots of variety.
A Deluxe Menu $35.95 – Order from All menus A+B+C (Sashimi)
B Lite Meny $28.95 – Order from only B+C (Sashimi)
C Core Menu $22.95 – Order from only C (No Sashimi)
A Deluxe Menu
More sashimi choices like Tako, Hokkigai, Tai, Tuna Tataki, Saba, Hamachi.
B Lite Menu
Salmon sashimi, Tuna sashimi, Wild Salmon sashimi. Most AYCE sushi fans will be happy with Menu B.
C Core Menu
Here you get Tuna and Salmon Nigiri sushi and Cones, like Negitoro Cones. Shabusen and Tomokazu do not offer these cones on the lunch menu. C Core menu has all standard items, tempura, rolls, soups, karaage.
Sashimi is the star at Richmond Sushi.
Salmon sashimi, Tuna sashimi, Wild Salmon sashimi, Korean Salmon sashimi. The presentation is very nice and no limits on the number of pieces!
Torched salmon sushi and torched tuna sushi! Not a common item at other AYCE sushi restaurants. These were surprisingly delicious.
(Torched sushi is available at Korean BBQ buffet Dae Bak Bon Ga.)
$$ AFFORDABLE! FAIR PRICE. For unlimited sashimi and plenty of choices (Menu B) the prices are fair.
Sashimi, tataki, torched sushi, and cones definitely the highlight.
The cooked dishes weren’t hot. Chicken Karaage didn’t taste right. Drumsticks were dry. Beef ribs were too fatty.
Some of the rice used in Nigiri and rolls were hard from refrigeration.
First customer in the door why is the cooked food cold?
OK! Friendly. Slow clearing plates. Understaffed because of covid.
Overall, SLIGHTLY SATISFIED. Richmond Ninkazu is a popular destination for budget sushi AYCE fans. There lots on the menu and the prices are fair. Come for the sashimi.
