OBANHMI BANH MI VIETNAMESE SANDWICH KINGSWAY – VANCOUVER FOOD AND TRAVEL GUIDE – GUTOM.CA

East Vancouver

OBANHMI (KINGSWAY)

GOOD: Meal Combos are a good deal.

BAD: The coffee included with the meal is premixed with sugar, not good for people watching their sugar.

Obanhmi “O Banh Mi” is a Vietnamese Sandwich shop on Kingsway open for about a year with other locations in Surrey and Calgary. There are many Banh Mi shops in the area, so what makes Obanhmi special and worth a visit?

Obanhmi is not a regular Mom-and-pop shop. Their menu is designed for franchising, offering Meal combos and Buy 10 Get 1 Free, not with a stamp card, but with your phone number. They also offer sides, and extras to customize your banh mi. Different from a Banh Mi Deli.

Lots of fillings from end to end of the sandwich.
The baguette is soft, and less flaky than other similar Banh Mi shops.
