TWISTED CREAMERY ROLLED ICE CREAM FOOD TRUCK COLUMBIA STREAT 2019 – VANCOUVER FOOD GUIDE REVIEWS – GUTOM.CA

Twisted Creamery Rolled Ice Cream food truck at the 7th annual Columbia StrEAT Food Truck Festival in New Westminster.

Twisted Creamery puts on quite the show with their Benihana-style performance. Rather than soft ice cream like Marble Slab, Twisted Creamery flattens and rolls the ice cream and ingredients.

Prices for Twisted Creamery start at $7.50 and go up the more ingredients you add.

The liquid cream is placed on a very cold plate and quickly solidifies.

$7.50 Twisted Split

Banana, strawberry, pineapple, vanilla ice cream, chocolate cherry.

$7.50 Polar Bear
Mint oreo cookie, peppermint, chocolate ice cream, mini oreo on top.

PRICE:
$ Affordable. Higher price compared to similar ice cream shops but includes whipped cream, and chocolate syrup. La Casa Gelato is cheaper and includes waffle cone.

QUALITY:
Good. The ice cream is more firm and doesn’t melt as fast as soft ice cream. The portion size is small.

SERVICE:
Friendly, and fast.

VERDICT:
Fun to watch them make the ice cream. The texture is unique and presentation is fun but the price seems a little high and portion size seems small.

CASH, CARD.
