NEW INDIA BUFFET AND BAR RESTAURANT – VANCOUVER FOOD GUIDE REVIEWS – GUTOM.CA

ALL YOU CAN EAT
New India Buffet + Bar and Restaurant took over the old Earls location on
West Broadway. This restaurant boasts 70 items, giving Tandoori Flame a little competition. For foodies this means avoiding a drive to Surrey. But is New India Buffet any good?

The Lunch buffet at New India Buffet is $18.
More expensive than Agra and Saffron in Burnaby but cheaper than Tandoori Flame in Surrey.
Lots of items to choose from, and UNLIMITED chai tea!

The Tandoori Chicken at New India Buffet is different from other
similar restaurants. Even the color is different with a more orange look rather than red. The flavor of the Tandoori Chicken is more lemoney. The chicken portion size is bigger than other restaurants.

A few of their items on the buffet are Gluten Free and Vegan.

Tandoori Chicken with rice, Butter Chicken, and naan.

The Butter Chicken at New India Buffet has some mild spice to it, and seasoning. It also tastes tomatoey and looks different compared to
similar restaurants.

Papadum with green chutney, veggie samosa and veggie
spring roll.

PRICE:
$$ Not So Cheap. $20+ with tax and tip, but it is ALL YOU CAN EAT on West Broadway.

QUALITY:
Ok. Inconsistent. The rice was hard. The Tandoori Chicken was good on the first round. Second round Tandoori Chicken was dry. Buffet temperature is questionable. No buffet lids to cover food. Flies around the buffet.

SERVICE:
Bad. Only some dishes were replenished.
The fish curry was never replenished during the time we were there, even when mentioned to server.
No fish pakora in their buffet is disappointing.

VERDICT:
This is a good sized buffet for the lunch time crowd but the quality might be a hit or miss. Tandoori Flame is still the superior large Indian Buffet.
