BUNS AND BOBA BUBBLE TEA CAFE – VANCOUVER FOOD GUIDE REVIEWS – GUTOM.CA

Buns + Boba Bubble Tea Cafe on Broadway is a modern looking cafe with a small menu of drinks and pastries.

WHERE’S THE BOBA???
The first thing you see in a large menu full of Lattes.
A little confusing for a place called Buns + BOBA.
The boba menu is on a small menu at the counter.

Buns $3.75
The buns we’re told are made in house every morning.
The style of bun is not a steamed bun.
The selection is also limited.

Lots of space! Buns + Boba seems pretty spacious.
There’s a nice lounge at the back of the cafe.

They have fruit slush (blended), fruit tea, and milk tea (ice cubes).
the menu is pretty limited compared to other Bubble Tea businesses.
Prices are $5-$6 dollars for Small or Large.
Added toppings $.50, Milk Alternatives $.75

Like other bubble tea businesses you can change the sweetness.
You can also change the milk, and add toppings.
No option to change the ICE level.

Matcha Bun $3.75
B&B Milk Tea $5.25 Large
When you order for Here they serve the drink in a jar w/ metal straw.

Drink size seems small for a LARGE $5.25 drink.
Lots of ice. The straw doesn’t fit the hipster jar.

The buns are a little different if you were expecting steamed buns or something similar. Is this a bun or a puff pastry like a croissant?

PRICE:
$ Under $10. $3.75 buns. $5-$6 for drinks. $7.50 sandwiches.

QUALITY:
Good. The pastry was nice, soft, and chewy.
Bad. The drink was nothing special and the portion size was not fair for $5.25. Too much ice.

SERVICE:
Nothing special. Pick up your drink from the counter.

VERDICT:
The buns are good. The drinks seem odd. Minimal menu boba shop in a minimal setting. They should change their name to “A Few Pastries and Some Drinks” or “Lacking Buns + Boba”
