Sushi Oyama the strangest looking sushi restaurant in BC? Located in Burnaby at the Glenedward Johnson House, a heritage home that was once a funeral home.

Sweets & Beans Cafe is located on the lower part of the house.

Sushi Oyama has more than just sushi! A la carte sushi is one part of their menu. They also have bento, even ramen.

PRICE:
$-$$ Affordable. A la Carte sushi means it can get expensive! You will still be hungry after!

QUALITY:
OK. The tuna sashimi was a little icy.
The spicy tuna cone was minced rather than sashimi pieces with hot sauce like at other restaurants.

SERVICE:
OK. The server was a new hire, and didn’t know what was included in the Sashimi Sushi Combo. She also forgot the miso soup which was included with the lunch combo.

VERDICT:
Japanese cuisine and a la carte sushi in a historic location is a unique dining experience.
