Mercato Di Luigi offers a slice of Italy in Vancouver’s Chinatown, with delicious espresso drinks, bakery menu, sandwiches, and pasta all affordably priced, and very nicely presented.
The food is authentic, tasty, and substantial. Fresh baked bread, and sliced meats and cheeses. Have you every had Piadina? Italian flatbread with prosciutto. How about a Maritozzo?
No white table cloths here, Mercato is a casual dining environment, and you order at the counter. Perfect for morning brunchers, lunch goers, and coffee breaks. Mercato is open early at 7am but it’s not just a daytime spot. They are open until 5pm weekends, and 6pm weekdays.
The service is friendly, and helpful. If you’re tired of the usual JJ Bean, Tim Hortons, Blenz fast food takeout coffee experience, this is a cafe experience you have to try!
