TANDOORI FLAME REVISITED – Improved!

We revisit Tandoori Flame to taste and see what’s changed
since our first trip to the All You Can Eat Indian buffet back in June.

Tandoori Flame in Surrey is ready for the Holidays with Christmas
decorations greeting customers at the entrance. (Still November!)

This visit was at Lunch on Remembrance Day Monday.
They charge the Weekend price $22.99 on Holiday long weekends.
We arrived right at Opening 11:30 AM, there was a short line wait.

After a short wait, we were quickly seated.
Very spacious dining area and large windows with nice natural light!

At opening time, some of the food was missing from the buffet but it was added
soon after opening. Better to have food FRESH, rather than
it sitting on the buffet for many hours.

There is a halal section on the buffet. Nice addition!
Halal goat curry, halal butter chicken, and halal tandoori chicken!

The authentic naan oven is fun to watch. Fresh naan bread!

Chutneys. What a variety of flavors!

Salad bar, Soup, salads, fruits, and veggies.

Make Your Own Chutney! A cool feature of the buffet!

Finish the meal with chai tea! No free refill.

ALL YOU CAN EAT INDIAN BUFFET AT TANDOORI FLAME SURREY DELTA BC – VANCOUVER FOOD REVIEWS GUTOM.CA

UPDATE: 11/22/2018

We went back to Tandoori Flame. Read our POST and Watch our updated VIDEO.

GRAND INDIAN BUFFET

Brand new Indian buffet opens in Surrey,BC.
This ALL YOU CAN EAT buffet boasts over 150 items “The Largest Indian Buffet in North America.” So is Tandoori Flame really the largest and best Indian buffet in Vancouver?

Simply put, yes!

Originally from Ontario, Tandoori Flame has locations in Mississauga, and Brampton.
This is the first location on the west coast. Tandoori Flame brings serious competition in an area already popular with Indian restaurants.
The prices and times of the buffet for lunch and dinner are quite reasonable in comparison to AYCE sushi which is actually priced higher.
Definitely come hungry!
All You Can Eat means All You Can Eat, so choose your dishes wisely, and don’t
waste any food!
Unique features of the buffet:
– Indian Pizza oven for Tandoori Pizza.
– Naan Bread Station
Wow! Fresh Naan Bread!
– Dosa Station

Wow! Fresh Dosa!

While the tandoori chicken and butter chicken are nice, the crispy fish pakora is a real winner.

Overall, Tandoori Flame really is a Grand Indian Buffet experience. The scale is larger than any in BC. The Dosa, Naan, and Pizza stations are great. All you can eat ice cream. This is the closest you’ll get to a Las Vegas style buffet.
VALUE: All You Can Eat.
QUALITY: Fresh, Very good selection. Unique Dosa, Naan, and Pizza stations.
SERVICE: Very good. Lots of servers. The server would check in with table often, and leave additional napkin/tissue.
Cash, Debit, Credit.
Tip: Arrive before 11:30AM Lunch service.

A few things that can be improved.
  • Placement of Indian sweets in the same section as curries, can get awkward when there is a line for the curries.
  • People are confused where the queue starts and ends at the buffet.
  • Being seated on the patio customers have to use a door to come and go from patio, difficult when holding dishes of food from the buffet! Please leave the door open!
