Kawawa Japanese Restaurant in Metropolis Metrotown no longer offers
All You Can Eat Sushi as of late-2018. That’s right, NO MORE AYCE!
They now serve ONLY a La Carte and combos likes Sushi Garden.
In the past we reviewed Kawawa Sushi. We had a good experience at first,
but also a bad experience with their AYCE menu.
The AYCE quality and service was very poor!
So how is the A La Carte Menu at Kawawa Japanese Restaurant?
Combination $17.95
Choice of two dishes or $9.95 a dish.
N9 Tuna Cone 2 Pieces & Salmon Cone 2 PIeces.
N16 Tuna Sushi 4 Pieces & Salmon Sushi 4 Pieces.
IN COMPARISON TO SUSHI GARDEN
Kawawa Sushi seems cheaper than Sushi Garden.
1 Tuna Cone at Sushi Garden is $4.95 it has two pieces of fish.
4 Tuna Cones at Kawawa Sushi is $9.95 and have one slice of fish.
PRICE:
$$ Affordable.
QUALITY:
Small portion size. Fish slices seemed thin. Dirty finger prints all over the plate. Servers seemed to not care or have standards. Overworked students.
SERVICE:
Slow. They opened after their posted Opening time.
Getting sushi was slow. Other tables seated after us got their hot foods before we got our sushi.
VERDICT:
Kawawa Japanese Restaurant may have ditched AYCE but the quality seems to be the same. Convenient only because it is inside Metrotown mall. Customer beware!
