BANH MI VIETNAMESE SANDWICH AT BA-LE DELI AND BAKERY EAST VANCOUVER

The best Banh Mi in Vancouver is at Ba-Le Deli & Bakery.

This place is so popular, that they sell out of sandwiches quite often. If you don't get there early, you may not get one at all.

Ba-Le Deli in East Vancouver Kingsway and Fraser has been around for many years. They bake the baguettes fresh daily, and offer a short but tasty menu featuring Pork, Chicken, or Beef sandwiches.

Note: There is another location (Ba Le Sandwich Shop) in Vancouver's Chinatown but they do not have the same bread. Ba-Le supplies the sandwich ingredients but the bread is from different supplier at Ba Le Sandwich Shop. Confirmed by the owners of Ba-Le Deli

The sandwiches used to be $3.50 - $3.75 a few years ago, but has since gone up to $5-$5.50. Still quite affordable for Vancouver prices.

The Lemongrass Chicken sandwich is a special for limited time.

What We Ordered
- Beef sandwich
- Pork sandwich

Value: Good
Quality: Fresh, Excellent. The bread is wonderful, and the veggies are fresh.
Service: Fast, slow during busy hours. Sells out FAST!

If you like spice, be sure to ask for chili pepper!

TIM HORTONS FARMER'S BREAKFAST WRAP IS GOOD!

TIM HORTONS

What We Ordered:
- Farmer's Breakfast Wrap
- Raisin Bagel w/ Butter
- Hash brown

Hash brown + Egg + Sausage + Cheese winning combination for a wrap at Tim Hortons.

The only downside is the odd packaging. The packaging doesn't hold liquid and drips through corners. Seems like this wrap would be better with regular wrapping paper, and not this wrap holder invention.

Value:  It's Tim Hortons!  Cheap, affordable!
Quality: Surprisingly tasty Breakfast Wrap.
Service: Fast food, but slower when busy.

BUBBLE TEA AT COCO FRESH TEA & JUICE - Vancouver Food Reviews - Gutom.ca

CoCo Fresh Tea & Juice say they're the World's Largest Bubble Tea Chain.

For being such a worldwide chain you'd think this place would offer something different, but the experience is average, and there are better less expensive boba bubble tea options out there!

Aside from the giant blue mascot, CoCo is similar to other boba bubble tea, but they offer less options. For example there is no Lychee offered.

 What We Ordered
 - Matcha latte slush w/ boba pearl
 - Chocolate slush w/ boba pearl
 - Mango slush w/ boba pearl

Beware your drinks can cost even more than Starbucks, or Jugo Juice...

Value: Expensive for bubble tea.
Quality: Tasty, but average. Menu lacks lychee
Service: Neither friendly, nor unfriendly

AUTHENTIC VIETNAMESE ICED COFFEE AT GOLD TRAIN EXPRESS - Vancouver Food Reviews - Gutom.ca

If it doesn't have a filter, it's not authentic Vietnamese Iced Coffee!

Vietnamese iced coffee, also known as cà phê đá or cafe da (Vietnamese: cà phê đá, literally "ice coffee") is a traditional Vietnamese coffee recipe. At its simplest, cà phê đá is made using medium to coarse ground dark roast Vietnamese-grown coffee with a small metal Vietnamese drip filter (phin cà phê).

DOUBLE CHEESE BURGER AT CACTUS CLUB SECRET MENU! - Vancouver Food Review Gutom

Did you know you can order a Double patty cheese burger at Cactus Club? It's not exactly on the menu... Watch the video to find out!

Order any burger from the menu. Order the CHEAPEST burger, so you can add more to it.

Ask your server for an extra patty.

The price of the patty may vary per location. At the Vancouver Coal Harbour Cactus Club, the patty was $4. Not too bad right? Your server may be surprised you're asking for an extra patty, and he or she may not know the price of the patty. They might have to ask their manager.

Not only do they add the patty, but they also dress it up at no extra charge. As you can see in the video the extra patty fits right in with the rest of the burger.

There you have it, a Double Cheese Burger at Cactus Club!
